Pool service software

Pool route software that knows water chemistry

Most route apps stop at "who goes where." FieldTechScheduler runs the whole visit: your tech enters readings poolside, the app computes the dose scaled to that pool's gallons, checks it against truck stock, and the homeowner gets a summary email before your tech leaves the driveway.

The core loop: route → readings → dose → done

Routes that build themselves

Weekly and biweekly schedules materialize each tech's day automatically. A week view shows every tech's load with drive-time estimates; over-capacity days get a one-tap rebalance suggestion.

Real dosing math, per body of water

Free chlorine, pH, alkalinity, CYA, and salt targets per company. Doses scale from your reference amounts to each pool or spa's actual volume. A mistyped reading is flagged, never dosed.

Truck stock from doses

Inventory derives from the doses your techs already record, with no separate counting workflow. Dose lines warn when the truck is short, and owners see every truck's levels.

Works with zero bars

The whole visit flow is offline-first. Completed visits, skips, photos, and issue reports queue on the device and sync when coverage returns. Nothing is ever silently lost.

Chemical billing, three ways

Per property: chemicals included, pass-through with markup, or capped with billed overage. Charges land as pending invoice lines you approve, so there are no surprise line items for your customers.

A portal homeowners actually read

Water status in plain words ("In range", "Adjusted during visit"), visit checklists, online payment, and quote approval, all via a magic link with no password. Portal details →

From skimmer to bank account

  • Invoices derive automatically from completed visits, with flat monthly or per-visit rate plans per property.
  • Online payments and autopay through Stripe; sales tax calculated at send.
  • Field issues become photo-backed quote leads; approved quotes drop onto the schedule as jobs.
  • Job costing shows margin per hour for every pool on the route.
  • QuickBooks-shaped CSV export for your bookkeeper.

Frequently asked questions

Does the pool route app work without cell coverage?

Yes. The technician app runs fully offline: routes, readings, dosing guidance, checklists, and photos all work with zero signal. Completed visits queue on the device and sync when coverage returns.

How does the dosing calculation work?

Each out-of-range reading is compared to your target band, and the product's reference amount (per 10,000 gallons) is scaled to that body of water's actual volume. Implausible readings, such as a pH typed as 78, are flagged instead of dosed, so a typo can never produce an unsafe amount. Read the full math.

Can I bill customers for chemicals?

Yes, three modes per property: included, pass-through with a markup percentage, or capped (only overage above a monthly cap is billed). Chemical charges appear as pending lines you approve before the invoice sends.

What do homeowners see in the portal?

Visit history with task checklists and water status in plain words (never raw readings or chemical amounts), plus invoices with online payment and quotes they can approve from their phone.
